To anyone thinking about jetting off to Tunisia, I highly recommend it! We are just back from two weeks in the beautiful country! This was my first holiday in Tunisia and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. All the way from the people, the food, the places to visit and the amazing weather, it is definitely a beautiful place for a relaxing holiday! We stayed at the Sahara Beach Aquapark Resort near Monastir.
Myself and my husband love a relaxing holiday, so this was the perfect place to do just that! The beaches are so clean with white sands and clear blue sea. There are plenty of Watersport activities on the beach for those who like a little bit of adventure! We saw: Jet-ski’s, Paraglider’s, Banana Boats, Windsurfing etc. They are very cheap to do and it also provides a way to see a little bit of the place around you!
We stayed at the Sahara Beach Aquapark Resort (I review this hotel separately) which is a 3* hotel in the area of Monastir. It is a super hotel with plenty of things to do for every age range. The coach transfer takes around 40 minutes from Enfidha airport, which isn’t long at all! There are three different pools for guests to use along with access to the private beach! The animation team work all day long and are fabulous at keeping both children and adults entertained all day long with games such as Zumba, football, Volleyball, Yoga, Bingo etc! So every evening, there is a different show on – we enjoyed The Greatest Showman and The Lion King.
We went all inclusive for our holiday and enjoyed eating at the different restaurants and snack bars, including a creperie and beach bar! If you want to have a bigger size drink you can bring your own tumblers as they serve the drinks in plastic cups.

Beach Towel Clips
Also, I highly recommend bringing beach towel clips as sometimes the beach can be a little windy meaning your towel blows away! Beach towel pegs help your towel stay in place and keeps it from flying away. Therefore, I would recommend two for every person.
There are plenty of different, fun excursions to experience whilst on holiday in Tunisia. Some of my favourite ones were:
- Going on a Camel Caravan and enjoy visiting the Berber community (you even get to have a delicious lunch!)
- Visiting Sousse Medina (Lots of haggling to do here and bargains to be had! Make sure you go prepared to spend money!)
- Day tour to the capital (Tunis) and then to the magical town of Sidi Bou Said where you get to see the white and blue houses- picture perfect).
- Having a day out on the Pirate Ship (meanwhile topping up your tan!)
- Visiting the animal Zoo where you can feed the elephants, camels, and giraffes etc.
