Guys… Can you believe that this week it is the start of the New Year?! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and that it was filled with lots of fun, festivities, and family time! I had the best Christmas spent with my family and friends, with my feet up, eating Christmas dinner and drinking hot chocolate watching my favourite Christmas movies! Now to get New Year Ready…
New Years Eve Outfit
My must have favourite dress this season is my Lipsy silver sequin dress. This is definitely a Christmas party dress as it is so sparkly and if you’re like me… then you love a bit of sparkle and glitz. This is totally my New Years eve dress! Shop it here. Be quick… its selling out fast!
I always get my nails done for Christmas so this year I thought I would go for a bit of festive colour and glitz. I went for a deep red colour – almost a wine colour and it has a hint of sparkle in it! I go for acrylic nail extensions as my nails are soooo short! These last me for about three to four weeks – so yeh you can’t go wrong with that! Shop a similar Rimmel London nail polish colour here.
For my party make up I always like to have a dewy look as this is a bit different from my everyday matte look! Firstly, I always prep my skin and do my usual skincare routine.
I then apply the Tarte concealer in colour light. I use a damp blender sponge when applying as it is quite thick. I set my make up using Laura Mercier translucent powder – this goes on so effortlessly and is amazing at setting your make up!
I then move onto contouring my face – using Charlotte Tilbury Holywood Contour wand (Light to Medium), applying it to my cheekbones, side of the nose, forehead, temples & jawlines. I then use the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand to highlight my face. I apply the highlighter to my cheekbones, brow bone and cupid’s bow. I finish with a bit of blusher and use the Charlotte Tilbury cheek to chic in colour Love is the Drug.
Lastly, I tightline my eyes using an eyebrow pencil, and then finish my eyes with the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara. You never know… if you guys like this… I may do a makeup vlog?
Getting new year ready wouldn’t be complete without having a tan (yes… even in winter!). Nothing is worse than having pale legs in that stunning dress! It completely changes your look and makes you red carpet ready. I have been using B Perfect Tan recently and it is amazing!! I use the dark 10 second tan in the mousse and it smells of watermelon!! It is amazing! I always use a mitt and apply it in circular motions. For my hands, feet and face I mix the tan with my moisturiser so that it glides on effortlessly and doesn’t streak! And what’s more… it lasts up to 6 days!
Well there we go guys… thats a little glimpse into my New Year Ready Party Look. If you liked this, check out my post on whats in my make up bag.
